Progeny Names New Singapore Chief Executive

, a UK-based firm blending financial planning, asset management, tax, HR, and private and corporate legal services, has appointed a new CEO for its Singapore office. The firm dates back to 1981. Following a management buyout in 2008, and a rebrand, the Progeny name entered the field in 2014, and officially launched as a firm under that name – spanning a variety of sectors – in 2016. It has acquired almost 30 firms in recent years, most recently Manchester-based Chartered Wealth Management in late January 2024.
Chris Guy (pictured), who has worked at large firms such as Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank and Citibank, is replacing Huw Wedlock, who is returning to the UK, a spokesperson for the firm confirmed to this publication.
Guy, who began his career in London, has been based in the Asia-Pacific region for almost 20 years, working in chief operating officer, country and regional management roles.
“Developing and growing our presence Singapore is a fundamental part of our global growth ambitions as we build out our international business,” Neil Moles, CEO of Progeny, said.
In February, Progeny appointed Tom Wood as chief financial officer.
